What pulz.bio is

Read this once and you will know which of your current tools pulz.bio takes over, and which jobs it deliberately does not do.

pulz.bio is a hosted web product. You get one account, one public page at pulz.bio/yourname, and one dashboard. Nothing installs on your machine. Your page, scenes and trigger links are all URLs, so OBS, Discord and your phone reach them the same way. Twitch panels are the one exception: you download them as images. Every feature in these docs is free, with no paid plan.

Your page

The page is a stack of blocks in the order you put them. You add them from the My Page panel with the Add New button:

  • Links, with the title and icon filled in from the URL you paste.
  • Section headers and spacers, to group and space the links.
  • A Gear / Setup block, which is a multi-row list for your hardware and its affiliate links.
  • A music link from Spotify or Apple Music, which keeps the cover art.
  • Your Twitch stream schedule and your featured clips, synced from Twitch.
  • Your newest YouTube video, recent videos and recent Shorts.
  • A Business Inquiry button that opens a protected form instead of showing your email.
  • A Media Kit button that links to your stats page.

Design is separate from content. The Design group in the sidebar holds Themes, General, Text, Buttons, Backgrounds and Specials, and those settings apply to the page and the schedule page - and to the media kit too, unless you give the kit its own Light or Dark look in the Media Kit panel. Setting up your page walks through every block.

The other pages you get

Every account has the same set of public URLs. They are built from your username, so they exist the moment your username does:

  • pulz.bio/yourname - the link-in-bio page.
  • pulz.bio/yourname/s - the schedule page.
  • pulz.bio/yourname/m - the media kit, once you enable it.
  • pulz.bio/yourname/o - the OBS browser source.
  • pulz.bio/yourname/e - a 340x78 live-status widget you can iframe into any site.
  • pulz.bio/yourname/badge.svg - a live-status badge for a README or a forum signature.

Overlays and scenes

A scene is one canvas (1920x1080 by default) holding everything you want on screen, and it becomes one browser source in OBS. You place widgets on it from six groups in the Add menu: Bars & Tickers, Chat, Alerts & Events, Stats & Goals, Games & Interactive, and Scenes & Extras.

If you already run one source per widget, that still works. The Single widgets list under your scene list gives you a single-widget URL, which shows that widget with its default look. To customise a widget, put it on a scene - the Wide widget, Chat column and Square widget sizes are made for this - and use that scene's URL. Scenes and how they work has the details.

Twitch panels

Panels use the same editor, built at Twitch's 320px width. A new panel set starts with six ready-made panels. You restyle them, press Download, and get a ZIP with one PNG per panel, which you upload on Twitch under your channel page with Edit Panels switched on. The link a panel points to is set on Twitch's side, not in pulz. See designing a Twitch panel.

Stream Control and Automations

Stream Control is a board of cards you keep open on a second monitor while you are live. You drag and resize the cards, and the arrangement is remembered per browser. The Stream Control board covers every card.

Automations turns the same actions into plain URLs of the shape pulz.bio/t/<your token>/<action>. A Stream Deck's built-in "open URL" key, an iPhone Shortcut, an AutoHotkey line or a bot can call them with no headers and no body. The token is per creator and you can rotate it. See the trigger URL.

Discord and embeds

The Discord & Embeds panel (its page title reads Embed Anywhere) holds five cards that keep themselves up to date:

  • A go-live announcement posted to a Discord webhook, which is edited into a VOD card when the stream ends.
  • A synced schedule message that re-edits itself whenever your schedule changes.
  • An activity log that posts a line for follows, subs, gift subs, cheers, raids and hype trains.
  • The live-status widget, an iframe for any site that is not Discord.
  • The status badge, an image for a README or a forum signature.

Business and numbers

  • Analytics - page views, unique visitors, traffic sources, devices, browsers, operating systems, countries and views over time. Each link row on My Page also shows its clicks in the last 24 hours.
  • Inbox - business inquiries sent through the protected form, so your email address is never on the page.
  • Media Kit - a public stats page at /m with your reach per platform, your Twitch performance, your languages, your content tags and an optional rate card. See the media kit and business inbox.

The small tools

  • Wheel of Names - a wheel for giveaways and viewer picks, using your page's colours by default.
  • QR-Codes - QR codes in a themed, light or dark mode, where themed follows your page's colours.
  • Link-Shortener - short links of the shape pulz.bio/l/<code>, with a click count and no ads. All three are covered in QR codes, short links and analytics.

What it replaces

  • A general link-in-bio page, with streamer blocks a general one does not have.
  • A hand-made schedule graphic you re-export every week.
  • A separate Twitch panel maker.
  • A per-widget overlay service for goals, chat, labels, alerts and counters.
  • A PDF media kit you email to sponsors.
  • A QR generator and an ad-supported link shortener.

What it cannot do

  • Tips only count while a source is open. Streamlabs and StreamElements tips arrive over a socket that your browser source holds itself. Close the source and nothing arrives, because the connection was never on our servers.
  • Some widgets show zero until you grant a permission. Goals, alerts, labels, the ad countdown, hype trains, polls and predictions each need an opt-in Twitch permission. Select the widget in the scene editor and press Grant on Twitch on the notice at the top of its settings. This is the single most common reason a number sits at zero.
  • Your page address is fixed. It is pulz.bio/yourname. There is no custom domain option today.
  • The YouTube connection is read-only. You enter your channel handle and pulz reads public channel data. You do not sign in to YouTube, and pulz cannot post or change anything there.
  • Not every platform is live. The X card lists your handle but does not connect yet. TikTok and Instagram show Coming soon until those platforms approve the connection.
  • The pulz.bio button stays. A small "Join you on pulz.bio" button sits at the bottom of your page and media kit, and it cannot be switched off.

FAQ

Do I need Twitch to use pulz.bio?

No. You can sign up with an email address and use your page, the design options, the tools and the link shortener with no platform connected. Twitch is what fills in your live status, schedule, clips and every overlay that reports a real number, so without it those blocks either stay hidden or show sample data.

Does a scene have to be a full 1920x1080 layout?

No. 1920x1080 is the default because it maps onto an OBS source cleanly, but you can put one small widget in one corner and leave the rest empty, or start from a smaller size like Wide widget, Chat column or Square widget.

Does my page keep working while I am offline?

Yes. Live status, viewer count, title and category change when you go live and go back when you stop. The rest of the page - links, schedule, clips, videos - is there either way.

Where do I change things that affect every page at once?

The Design group in the dashboard sidebar. A theme picked there applies to your link-in-bio page, your schedule page and, unless you set it to Light or Dark, your media kit, so they do not drift apart.

Is pulz.bio free?

Yes. Every feature in these docs is included on every account, with no paid plan and no card.

Is pulz.bio a streaming platform?

No. You keep streaming on Twitch, Kick or YouTube as you do now. pulz.bio is the page and toolkit around your stream: your link in bio, overlays, Twitch panels, schedule and media kit.

Who makes pulz.bio?

pulz.bio is an independent product, built and run from Switzerland by its founder. It never takes a cut of your earnings and doesn't sell your data.

Is it safe to connect my Twitch account?

pulz.bio connects through Twitch's official sign-in, so it never sees your Twitch password, and Twitch lists the permissions before you approve them. Every platform card in Connections has a Disconnect button. Connecting your platforms lists what each permission is for.

Does pulz.bio work with Twitch and YouTube at the same time?

Yes. Twitch, Kick and YouTube connect side by side: your page shows your Twitch live status next to your latest YouTube videos and Shorts, the multistream chat overlay merges the chats, and the media kit counts your reach on each.
