Streamer Media Kit: How to Make One for Sponsor Outreach
A streamer media kit is the short page or document a sponsor reads when deciding whether to work with you: who you are, your audience, your numbers, your past work, your rates and how to reach you. It does the job a resume does in a job search. Its only goal is to get you from a cold email to a real conversation, so it has to answer the sponsor's questions in under two minutes.
What sponsors check first in a media kit
The reader is usually a brand manager or an agency comparing several creators. They skim in roughly this order, and the last column shows what a live Pulz media kit fills in for you:
| What they check | Why it matters | Filled in by Pulz? |
|---|---|---|
| Average concurrent viewers | The number most stream sponsorships are priced on, not peak and not followers | Yes, last 30 days (Twitch and Kick) |
| Hours streamed | Sponsors book active channels | Yes, hours and days streamed |
| Audience country and age | Decides whether the product fits | No, add it by hand |
| Past brand work | Logos with one-line results build trust | No, add it by hand |
| Rates or packages | What it costs to work with you | Yes, an optional rate card |
| Contact | A way to reach you that isn't a DM | Yes, a protected inquiry form |
What to include in a streamer media kit
1. Intro: who you are in one line
Your name, your handle and one line on what you stream, then the main channels. "Mira, cozy games and indie horror, twitch.tv/mira, 8,000 followers, 120 average viewers" reads in five seconds. Add two or three sentences of context and stop there.
2. Stats: the numbers, big and honest
- Average concurrent viewers for the current month, with the trend over three to six months.
- Followers and new follows in the last 90 days.
- Hours streamed per month.
- Audience countries and age, from the platforms that report them (YouTube, TikTok and Instagram analytics do).
- Other platforms (YouTube, TikTok, Instagram) with their real numbers.
- Engagement where you have it: chat messages per hour, clip views.
Don't round up. Sponsors and agencies cross-check with third-party stats, and an honest kit from a small channel beats an inflated one every time.
3. Past work and audience
Logos of brands you've worked with and one line of results for each, such as "4 sponsored streams, 18k unique viewers, 320 tracked clicks". No brand work yet? Use this space for your community instead: Discord size, what your chat is like, and the topics you're known for.
4. Rates and contact
A starting price per package ("sponsored streams from $X") filters out unserious offers and leaves room to price bigger deals higher. For the numbers behind it, see Twitch sponsorship rates, or get a quick range from the free rate calculator. Finish with a business email or a contact form, never a DM.
A media kit that updates itself
A PDF kit is out of date the week after you export it. Pulz builds a live one at pulz.bio/yourname/m: total reach and followers per platform, your last 30 days of average and peak viewers, hours and days streamed, top categories and clips, tags and languages, an optional rate card and a "Work With Me" form that lands in a protected inbox, so your email is never published. It wears your page theme, or a clean light or dark version for pitches.
Sponsorship outreach: how to pitch brands with your kit
Inbound offers come from being findable: put a "For brands" link to your kit on your link in bio and a Business panel on Twitch. Outbound outreach works best with brands you already use on stream, games in your category, and companies already sponsoring channels your size.
Subject: [Your channel] x [Brand]: sponsored stream idea
Hi [name], I'm [you], a [category] streamer averaging [X] viewers, mostly from [countries]. I already use [product] on stream, and my chat asks about it. I'd like to pitch a [two-hour sponsored stream / segment] around [specific idea]. My media kit, with live stats and rates, is here: [link]. Happy to adapt the format to your campaign.
- One specific idea beats "open to collabs". Name the format and why your audience fits.
- Keep it to five sentences. The kit carries the detail.
- Follow up once after a week, then move on.
- Track the links you send. A short link per pitch tells you who opened the kit; treat counts as approximate, since link previews can open links too.
Design rules for a media kit
- Two to four pages. Longer kits get read less, not more.
- Match your channel. Same colors and type as your overlay and panels.
- Real screenshots over stock photos. Stock imagery makes a streamer kit look corporate.
- PDFs under 5 MB. Some brand inboxes have size limits; a live link avoids the problem.
FAQ
What is a media kit for streamers?
A short page or PDF for sponsors: who you are, what you stream, your audience and average viewers, past brand work, rates and contact details. It answers a brand's first questions before the first call.
When should I make a media kit?
Once you have a few months of steady numbers: consistent stream hours, a stable average viewer count and a clear niche. You don't need to be big; you need to be clear.
Do I need a PDF?
Not usually. A link to a live kit is easier to send in a DM and is always current. Keep a PDF for agencies that ask for an attachment.
How often should I update my media kit?
Every quarter for a PDF, with "Updated [month]" on the cover. A live kit updates its stream stats on its own, so you only revisit the text and rates.
Can I use a media kit template?
Yes, but customize it. People in influencer marketing have seen the popular templates many times; your colors, type and real screenshots make it yours.
