How to Add a One-Time Stream to Your Twitch Schedule

To add a one-time stream to your Twitch schedule, open the schedule editor, press Add Stream and choose Specific Day instead of a weekly frequency. The catch: Twitch only offers Specific Day to Affiliates and Partners. Everyone else can only add streams that repeat every week, which is why so many schedules say "every Monday" when you meant one Monday.

Why Twitch only lets you schedule weekly streams

Twitch's schedule documentation is explicit: only Partners and Affiliates may create non-recurring segments. For everyone else, every entry is a weekly slot on a chosen weekday, so the editor can only say "every Monday", "every Tuesday" and so on. Streamers have asked for one-time entries on Twitch's feedback site for years; as of October 2026 the limit still applies.

How to add a one-time stream (Affiliates and Partners)

  1. Open your Creator Dashboard from your profile picture menu.
  2. Go to Settings, then Channel, then the Schedule tab.Twitch moves this menu now and then. If it looks different, search the dashboard for "Schedule".
  3. Press Add Stream and fill in the title, category, start time and duration.
  4. Choose Specific Day instead of a weekly frequency, and pick the date.One-time streams show as upcoming events on your channel's schedule.
  5. Press Save Changes.

Not an Affiliate yet? Three workarounds

  1. Add it as a weekly stream, then remove it. Create the entry on the right weekday, stream, and delete it afterwards so next week doesn't show a stream that isn't coming. Set a reminder; a forgotten entry trains viewers to ignore your schedule.
  2. Put one-offs on a schedule page outside Twitch. On Pulz, anyone can add a one-off entry (leave Recurring weekly unticked) next to the schedule synced from Twitch. Visitors see it in their own time zone at pulz.bio/yourname/s, and calendar subscribers get it automatically.
  3. Announce it where your viewers are. A pinned Discord message and one social post per special stream. Pulz can keep a Discord message with your next five streams up to date by itself.

Specific Day comes with Affiliate. If you're close, checking your Affiliate progress shows what's left.

How to change the time of a scheduled stream

Open the schedule editor and press the edit icon on the stream. Change the start time or duration and save. For a weekly entry, title, category and duration changes apply to every week. If the editor won't move a weekly entry to a new time, delete it and add it again at the new time, then mention the change on stream and in your Discord.

How to skip one week

A weekly entry has a cancel option for its next occurrence. Switch it on and that week shows as cancelled while the rest of the schedule stays put; you can only skip the next one, not a week further out. For a longer break, turn on Vacation Mode at the top of the schedule settings and set the dates you'll be away.

Every other week, rotating and monthly schedules

Twitch's schedule repeats weekly only; there is no every-other-week or monthly option. Affiliates can add each date as a Specific Day entry. Without Affiliate, use the skip option on your off weeks (one week at a time), or keep the real rotation on a page you control: a Pulz schedule page takes one-off and weekly entries side by side, so an every-other-week show is just a list of dates.

Time zones: what your viewers see

You enter times in your own time zone and Twitch converts them for each viewer. Watch daylight saving time: when clocks change, check that your slots still show the hour you mean. A Pulz schedule page also shows every visitor their local time. For the full setup, see how to set up your Twitch schedule.

FAQ

Why does Twitch only let me schedule a stream weekly?

Because one-time (Specific Day) entries are limited to Affiliates and Partners. Without Affiliate, every schedule entry repeats on the same weekday each week.

Can I add a single stream to my Twitch schedule without being an Affiliate?

Not as a one-time entry. Add it as a weekly stream and delete it after it airs, or list it on a schedule page outside Twitch, like Pulz, where one-off entries work for everyone.

Why does my Twitch schedule say every Monday?

Every entry made without Specific Day is weekly, so Twitch labels it with its weekday: every Monday, every Tuesday. Affiliates and Partners can choose Specific Day to schedule a single date instead.

Do I have to set my Twitch schedule every week?

No. Weekly entries repeat on their own until you delete them. You only touch the schedule to skip a week, change a time or add a special stream.

Can I edit my Twitch schedule on my phone or PS5?

Schedule editing lives in the Creator Dashboard on the Twitch website. If your app doesn't show it, open twitch.tv in a browser on your phone or computer.

Add one-off streams anyone can see

Pulz syncs your Twitch schedule and lets you add one-off and weekly entries next to it, with a schedule page and a calendar feed. Free, with no paid plan.
