Where panels live
In the dashboard, open Twitch Panels under the Stream section of the sidebar. Everything on this page is the design side. The link a panel opens is set on Twitch, not in pulz.
How a panel set works
- A design holds a whole set of panels. A new set starts with six: About me, Socials, Rules, Discord, Schedule and Donate.
- Twitch shows panels 320 pixels wide, so every panel is 320 wide. Its height follows what is on it: add a line of text and the panel grows, delete one and it shrinks. Resize a panel by hand and it keeps that height (Fit to content switches off).
- Panels sit on a large free board, so you can park one beside another to compare them. Each panel downloads as its own image, exactly as you see it in the editor.
- A new set starts on your page theme. Any color or font you leave on the default follows your theme, so changing the theme on your page re-skins every panel with no per-layer edit.
Start from a template
- Open Twitch Panels in the dashboard.
- Press Browse templates. It sits in the header of your list, next to New panel.
- Filter by category, or type a name or style into Search.
- Press Use template on the one you want, or click its card. Each card is drawn with your own colors and name, so you preview your version.
Start from scratch
- Press New panel.
- In the New panel set popover, press Create set. There is no size to pick: panels are always 320 wide, the width Twitch shows them at.
- Rename the set in the top bar when you like.It opens straight into the editor with the six starter panels laid out. A new set is called New panel until you rename it.
Editing your panels
- Select a panel to set its Name (this also names its file in the download), Fit to content, Padding (Tight, Cozy or Roomy), Background, accent color, Border and Shadow. Background takes your theme, a flat color, a gradient, an image or a shader.
- Add text, a list, an image, a shape or an icon from the Add rail. List holds up to 14 rows of a label and a value - rules, commands, prices. Panel adds one more panel to the set.
- Text comes with ten effects (Halo, Glow, Outline, Hard shadow, Retro, Emboss, Sticker, Neon tube, 3D extrude and Chrome), each with its own color and strength. Shape has 28 shapes, from rectangles and rings to stars, ribbons and tickets.
- Restyle several panels at once: Shift-click them and change a setting; it applies to all of them. Duplicate copies a panel next to the original.
- The Layers tab groups layers by panel, so you can reorder panels and find what sits on each one.
Layers snap to the edges and centers of other layers and show equal-gap guides while you drag. Hold Cmd/Ctrl to place something exactly with no snapping, and select two or more layers to align them to each other with Arrange in the top bar. Every gesture and shortcut is in using the canvas editor, and the keyboard button in the top bar opens the same list inside the editor.
Saving
Panels autosave. The top bar reads Saving, Unsaved or Saved, and it also saves when you leave the editor. If a save fails it keeps saying Unsaved rather than claiming a save that did not happen, and the next edit retries.
Sharing a set you are happy with
Share as template in the top bar sends the set to the public library. Give it a name, a category and one line about it, then press Send for review. A moderator publishes it, your handle is credited on the card, and your copy stays yours. Submissions are capped at 10 a day. More in using and sharing templates.
FAQ
What size are Twitch panels?
320 pixels wide, the width Twitch shows them at, and as tall as their content. Twitch scales anything taller than 600 pixels down, so keep a panel under that. Downloads come out at 2x (640 pixels wide) to stay sharp.
Are the panel templates free?
Yes. Every template in the library is free on a free account, with no watermark and no export limit. You can browse them without an account.
Do I need Photoshop or Canva to make panels?
No. The editor runs in your browser: add text, icons, images and shapes, restyle the whole set at once and download the PNGs.
What should my panels say?
Most channels run About Me, Schedule, Socials, Support and Rules. The Twitch panel ideas list has example text for each.
